The team of Gallery Guides consists of volunteers with individual training, who offer services to adults and school groups in the form of tours of the galleries, workshops and object handling sessions.

Sessions must be booked with the Smith at least two weeks in advance and they cover subjects such as:

  • Castle Life
  • The Victorians
  • Death and Cemeteries
  • Japan

  • Houses and Homes
  • The Hanging of Art Work
  • Mary Queen of Scots
  • The Burgh of Stirling
